I just watched the video "Japanese Listening Practice | Supermarket and Christmas in Japan" by the creator Speak Japanese Naturally. She took a trip to a local supermarket (スーパー), and bought ingredients to prepare a Christmas dinner. If I understood the video correctly, she compared her dinner to the American food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), which was extremely interesting. I don't think of basing Christmas dinner off of a KFC meal.
She talked about the prices of various 野菜 and 肉. I learned that '半額' means half off of the price, and the drinking age is 二十歳.
