今週、Language and Culture Weekがあります。 今日、とてもいそがしいですから、面白かったですね。2時ごろ、友達といっしょにLafunに行って、フランス語のパストリー食べて、マスクをかいていました。それから、フランス語をちょっと話していました。高校の時、二年にフランス語のじゅぎょうをしました。だから、フランス語をちょっと話します。  私のマスクです。

 今、りょうで友達とスーパーボウルのしあいを見ています。フットボールが好きですから、毎日スーパーボウルのしあいを見ています。スーパーボウルのしあいはすごくて、楽しいです。スーパーボウルのしあいはながいですが、おもしろいです。

そして、バレンタインデーに私と友達はりょうでパーテイーをします。私はうれしいです。チョコはおいしいですから、チョコがほしいです。それから、友達にぬいぐるみとおもちゃをあげます。

 先週末、「サカモトデイズ」というアニメを見ていました。楽しくて、おもしろいですから、これのアニメが大好きですね。This episode was about Sakamoto and his adoptive family rescuing researchers working in a lab that Shin used to grow up in. I really enjoy this anime because it is lighthearted and has a lot of action. I was able to recognize some location phrases, numbers, and nouns such as 上だ、二十分、今日、五分、この体、すばらしい、右、目、あなたは、ぶき、七十。 これはSakamotoさん

私はペットニひきがいって、 ココとポピーは猫です。ココは二さいですが、ポピーは一さいです。ココは目が青いです。それから、体が白いです。ポピーも目が青いです。それから、ポピーも体が白いです。ココはあたまがいいですが、ポピーはちょっとあたまがいいです。毎日、ココとポピーは食べていて、たくさんあそんでいます。私はもココとポピーとあそんでいます。そして、ココとポピーは鳥を見ていて、ひるねをしています。

今、ココとポピーは私のりょうしんとうちに住んでいます。ノートルダム大学からうちまで二時間はんぐらいかかります。だから、週末にくるまでうちにときどきうんてんします。

私はココとポピーが大好きです。私の子供です。

 冬休みにアニメをたくさん見ました。I'm now on season three, and watched the fight between the king of men, Qin Shi Huang, and the king of the underworld, Hades. I also watched the backstory of Beelzebub, who has Satan dwelling within him. This anime focuses on fights between the gods and humanity to determine whether humanity is worthy of existing for another 1000 years. 

I am learning about new gods (that are not Greek gods), such as Shiva and Beelzebub, and a vague relation to their respective mythologies. I am able to understand probably 10% of what the characters are saying without relying on subtitles, and as I am learning more vocab I am understanding more and more. 

I recognized たんご such as こころ、たたかい、あたま、て、あめ、ころす.

ブログポスト１２！

This semester, learning Japanese was a great experience. My professor, Fuse Sensei was very helpful in thoroughly explaining concepts quite enthusiastically in class. I love being able to now put basic sentences together to explain everyday things-I just need to keep up the practice. Meeting my classmates was fun as well. Learning about some aspects of Japanese culture was very interesting, like during the Kyudo presentation, the culture event in O'Shag, and at a career panel I attended in Indianapolis. I also hope to learn enough next semester during First Year Japanese I and through my own studies to understand more anime without needing to use subtitles as much. 

Some of the people I've met through the Japanese Program here have become good friends! I am excited to see where next semester leads. Until then!
